Gas Station Operator Shot, Robbed Of $25,000 CONWAY, S. C. Nov. 10? (AP) Sheriff C. E. Sasser aaid today that Clayton Hall, 55, found shot to death 30 yards from his filling station and near his hog pen, was the victim of thieves who stole more than $25,000. Hall who oper ated the station and a tourist camp at Crescent Beach, was dis covered yesterday with 12-gauge shotgun slugs imbedded in his back. Sasser theorized Hall was on his way to feed his hogs when he was slain. The sheriff said a meat can containing: $25,000 was missing from Hall's establishment, in ad dition to a wallet supposedly con taining between $500 and $1,000.
