hag made the detour from Hol
den Beach to Supply rather'
rough. Mak<ig our usual Satur
day afternoon trip up from the
beach to catch a bus at Supply
were were riding in a jeep with
half a dozen youiig 'folk?. It was
comfortable enough there in the
front seat, but.with some ques
tion of whether we would be In
time for the bus, we noticed the
girls in the back seat flopping up
and down like a pair of bullfrog
lege in a hot skillet.
Although Dr. Landis Brown did
not tell us exactly what was the
matter?a . policy in which he
was backed up by Dr. F. M. Bur
dette, Mrs. Dan Shannon and
about all of the nurses and their
aids?we found ourself in a priv
ate room in DoSher Memorial
Hospital early Sunday morfting.
We remained there until we walk
ed out, rather weakly late Mon
day afternoon. We suppose that
we were put in the neighborhood
of the maternity ward because
| we could not hear the new ar
j rivals voicing their greetings to
[the world. Anyway, we were
'wheeled in there and had not been
in our room more than ten min
j utes before Mrs. W. C. Norton
I further up the hall sent in a note
'to say she had a new eight pound
son. His yelling, if he did yell, did
'not disturb us. Neither did that
of the rest c?f the new arrivals.
The thing we were most conscious
of, aside of the pains in our ab
dominal region, was that Dr.
Brown, Dr. Burdette, ''all of the j
nurses and two orderlies were (
awfully kind. Some of them were;
in to see us every minute or'
two, likewise a let of friends. Dr.:
H. B. Johnson, Morivan minister,
of Winston-Salem, came in and i
held a sort of sunrise service over;
us in the afternoon. He was ac-1
uompanied by Mrs. Johnson and |
Dr. Thor Jdhnaon. This is the
first thing we are writing after!
getting back to the office, where.
Dr.. Brown told us we had no
business being. Naturally, we are!
Btill sort of hazy and have no'
clear recollection of everybody \
who came around. One things is |
Bure, we appreciate all of the at- j
tention we received from the hos- \
pital folks and everybody else.

He's Sad Because:
Maybe he paid a bill with cash and lost the
receipt, and now has to pay it again . . .
Or maybe he lost a large amount of cash from
his pocket ....
Or hid it, and somebody else found it . . .
Or maybe he just spent all his money in cash,
and now can't figure where it went . . .
A Waccamaw Bank account will protect your money
against all these hazards. When you pay by check you
will have a record and a receipt for every payment.
