SUPPLY, N. G. High Times BY ELIZABETH, LCPTOX Well, here goes again, just as I promised. And we have really had an excittng week. First, last Monday night the girls glee club had their firstl I meeting. They had a wonderful i | time, so I heard. Yours Truly | was sick. But when you have Mr. Stevenson and music, what more do you want? We are to practice every Monday night from now on. So, come on girls, prac tice won't hurt any of us. Then came Tuesday night. Need I say more? But X just have to tell our basket ball teams how proud we are of them and the way they won over Bolivia. Our girls led through the whole game with oar Rebecca McRackan as high scorer. But everybody play ed a good game and it was the team that won. For the boys Tommy Bowmer took the high scoring honors, but there again it was the teamwork that won. Our new uniforms haven't been dis graced yet (eh Jack Gilbert) and we don't plan to break that re cord when we play Shallotte this i Tuesday night, nor when we meet Leland Thursday. Friday night our Southport Baptist church team, made up of some of our high school boys, played the Wilmington Speed De mons and won. But that's South port for you. These boys even had DYNAMITE For Ditching & Stumping Fuses & Accessories COLD STORAGE EQUIPMENT We have a real bargain in one complete commercial type Gold Storage unit that goes with a 10-hp compressor. ^ A M. Gene Fullwood, Douglas Watts, Smith (?), Billy McDowell and Ronnie Hood played most of this winning game. Oh, yes, I can't forget Darrell Fisher. Then came Saturday night and Eulene Stidham's birthday party. I never knew her home would hold so many people, but it did. She got just loads of useful and, 3hould I say, good gifts. Good means the candy, Eulene. After her lovely party was over every one headed for the square dance. Speaking of dances, the glee club is having a big square dance Wed nesday night to raise money for our school band. Oh, I nearly forgot to mention, our ball teams had their pictures taken the other night and anyone can buy a picture. So, you'd bet ter get busy and get yours.
