Another week-end has past and I
here we are back to school. But |
along with our books, lessons and ;
homework we still have time to |
, stop and chat and find out the
news.
I
We want to start this year off 1
on the right foot by letting you
know the tatest song hits around
S. H. S.. To Lib Lupton we want
to dedicate "Don't Lie to me" . . j
To Bernice Phelps, "Amor" . .
To Glo Hewett "Youre So Under- j
standing" . . To Mary Ann Lough- j
lin "Won't You Come With Me
In My Merry Oldsmobile" . . To ,
Karen Swan "Again" . . To Har
riet Corlette "Someday" . . To
Danny Harrelson "If You Don't
Talk Too Much, You Won't Get
; Into Trouble" . . To Billy Dosher
I "Hollwood Square Dance" . . To
Bobby Spencer "I Don't See Me
In Your Eyes Any More" . . To
| Mary E. Fullwood "Kiss Me
; Sweet" . . To Tommy Bowmer
i "I'm In Love With Two Sweet- 1
hearts" . . To Nancy Swan "Be
cause You Love Me" . . To Ag
i new Fulcher "Four Winds and The j
j Seven Seas" . . To Linda Hick- ]
man Indian Love Call" . . To
Sonny Hickman "That's My De- !
| sire" . . To Patricia Adams "I
Want To Be Loved By Someone
Like You" . . To Stuart Airing- 1
ton "Take Me Out To The Ball
Game" . . To Lena Ward "Blue
Bird of Happiness" . . Coopie
Burris "The Lost Chord".
I Saturday night Latitia Hickman
entertained a few couples at her ;
I home with a candy party. Those
present were. Latitia Hickman
and Danny Harrelson, Stuart Ar
lington and Bertram Burris,
Catherine McRackan and Tommy
Bowmer and Rebecca McRackan
and Sonny Hickman.
Sunday afternoon we saw a
crowd of boys playing football
down in the garrison. The on
lookers were Janice Swan, Nancy
Swan, Stuart Arrington, Marsha
Dilsaver, Patricia Adams, Gloria
Hewett and Miss Long.
The gossip and latest songs
take up practically all our time,
but we love newsy news too. So
here's a word about our football
team. We have a promising team
with 22 players out. We are
sure our squad will be a credit
to our school. Don't disappoint us,
Boys.
By the way. Folks, if you hear
a great explosion, don't be sur
prised. It will just be the chem
istry class blowing up the labora
tory. Also you may see the
Biology class tearing the leaves
off of your trees, picking ' your
flowers or chasing insects across
you lawn. Don't shoot first. Just
ask them in a nice (mean) voice
to get out. Then shoot Mr. Robin
son.
Just a word to our friends who
have moved away. We want to
say we hope you enjoy reading
the home news. This means you
especially, Ronnie.
CARD OF THANKS
I wish to thank the many re
latives and friends for the kind
ness and the beautiful flowers
during the sickness and death
of my husband, O. T. Hewett.
Mrs. O. T. Hewett.
