Mrs. Cloah Arnold Dies In Southport Mrs. Cloah L. Creech Arnold, 76, died Monday in Dosher Memo rial Hospital here after a short illness. Funeral services will be held in the Southport Baptist Church at 2:30 p. m Wednesday bv the Rev. Mark Owen. Burial will be in the Old Southport Cemetery. Surviving are two sons, John of Southport and Daniel F. of Savan nah, Ga.; four daughters, Mrs. Vernon Wescott and Mrs. T. L. Toller of Southport, Mrs. B. B. Rev. A. C. Wheeler and Rev. Barney English officiated. Benton, a native of Brunswick County, died in his home Monday night following an extended ill ness.' He was the son of the late James Thomas and Catherine Jordan Benton. Surviving him are his wife, Mrs. Mary Farrow Benton; three sons, Kendall H. Benton and Emerson E. Benton, of Wilmington and Joseph L. Benton of Nowata, Oklahoma; a daughter, Mrs. Oleta Mintz of Wilmington; eight grandchildren; a brother, James Franklin Benton of Wilmington and a stepbrother, Leo L. Benton of Leland.
