Miss Peggy Ann Russ Marries William Alton Grissett Sunday On Sunday afternoon. June 4, Miss Peggy Ann Russ married William Alton Grissett in a double ring ceremony performed by the Rev. Emos Daniels of Wilmington at 11:30 o'clock. The vows were officiated in the Pole;,- Bridge Baptist Church of Nakina before a background of ivy. palms, white mums and gladiolas interspersed by seven branched candelabras bearing burning white tapers. The groom is the son of Mrs. Addie Grissett and the late Walter Gris sett of Shallotte. The bride was given in mar riage by her brother, R. V. Russ. She was wearing a floor length gown of bridal taffeta designed with a fitted bodice, sabrina neck line and bouffant skirt extending into a chapel train. The neckline and front skirt were adorned by lace rosette appliques reembroid ered in seed pearls and sequins. Her tiered veil of silk illusion fell softly from a lace crown. She carried a white orchid bouquet with showers of white satin rib bons. They wore rose chiffon dresses designed similar to that worn by the matron of honor and carried arm bouquets of white mums. Best man was Lavem Grissett of Raleigh, brother of ’.he groom. Ushers were James Williams of Fayetteville, brother-in-law of the bride, and Kermit Holden of Shal lotte. C. the bride chose a lavender jersey dress with pleat ed skirt worn with white ac cessories and the orchid lifted from her bridal bouquet. The bride is a 1961 graduate of Nakina High School.
