looking over the camp, which is
located in rolling terrain with a
very beautiful lake close by for
swimming. Everyone seemed to be
having a great time as the day
passed on.
We camped with Anson and
Montgomery county boys and
girls. The campers from all three
counties worked and played to

The boys and girls were divided
itp into Head, Hands and Health
groups. The boys and girls at
tended classes with the group they
were assigned to all week. There
were eight group captains and
five of them were from Bruns
wick County. They were Sharon
Bradsher, Priscilla Hewett, Be

girls did a very fine job as group

WHEW! Good old summertime’s here. And of all the
time and labor-saving devices to keep your temperature
down and help you live better, few can compare with the
telephone. Might think about that next time the mercury
scoots up and you’ve got to run here and drive there and
do a dozen things. Just lift the receiver of your telephone
and take it e-e-a-sy!

PATIO PATTER—Now you have that new patio iust
like you want it—floodlights, grill, outlet for stereo,
casual furniture and all. What could make it more com
plete? How about a patio telephone? That’s the modern
way to live outdoors, with an extension phone so you
needn’t run back into the house to make or take calls.
Wherever your patio is located, we can put a phone there,
either the portable or permanent type. In your choice of
pretty colors, too. The cost is small. Just call our Business
Office for more information.

Compliance News
By the time the paper is out
some 1,850 notices of measured
acreages will have been mailed
out to Brunswick County farmers
by the ASC office at Shallotte.
ft. B. Price, Brunswick County
ASC office manager, stated that
farmers who receive “excess” no
tices should contact his office at
once—-in order to notify the office
of their (the farmers’) intentions.
The acreages measured are for
allotted crops and feed grains.
Price said that those farmers dis
satisfied with their allotted meas

will be allowed 7 days to file a
request for measurement without
penalty, but that a charge of $1
a day would be levied after that
period of grace—not to exceed
$5.
