ings around Lincoln.
The following clubs met and
elected officers for the school
year. The Dramatic Club, Choral
Club, Boy’s Club, Home Makers
Club. Student Council and Student
Patrol.
A capacity crowd attended the
first P. T. A. meeting of the
school year. The meeting was held
in our auditorium. The following
persons are our newly elected of
ficers: President, Mr. Sylvester
Waddell, vice-president, Mrs. Bea
trice Beatty; secretary, Mrs.
Louise Willis; treasurer, Mr. Pre
soleon Bell. This was mainly an
organizational meeting. Many
helpful and timely remarks were

mons and were well received by

Brunswick County Unit of the
N. C. T. A. met on October 12,
at Union High School with Mr.
Anthony Davis, group chairman
and Mr. Clemmons, principal of
Lincoln High School, program
chairman of the group, in charge.
Many helpful plans for the school
year have been made by the
group. After the meeting was ad
journed a delicious meal was serv
ed by the host school.
We have had three new teach
ers and a secretary added to our
faculty at Lincoln since you last
heard from us. They are Mrs.
Ethel Walker, Winston-Salem,
Mrs. Smith, from Goldsboro, Miss
Galloway from Supply, and Miss
Cassie Bryant, secretary, from
Leland.
The members of the Drama
tic’s club in the grammar grade
department are busy working on
their first production, an operetta,
entitled “Windmills of Holland”
which is to be presented soon.
The advisors are Miss Hattye
Willis and Mrs. T. D. Clemmons.
It was released from Principal
Clemmons’ office that Mrs. D. B.
Hankins, our Home economics
teacher, is now a vocational home
economics teacher.

Pall Swamp Joe Burney’s corner, runs
north % degree east 1730 feet to a :
stake north of Cannon Pond; thence
north 75 degrees west 785 feet to a
stake near P. S. Burney’s field;
thence north 60 degrees east 800 feet
to a stake in W. H. Clemmons’ line;
thence 518 degrees east 655 feet to a
stake near a high stump; thence south
75 degrees east about 1400 feet to a
stake east of Fall Swamp, it being
the original corner; also S. S. Bur
ney’s corner; thence south 5 degrees1
west 1528 feet to a cypress in the east
edge of Fall Swamp; thence west
1379 feet to the Beginning, containing
60 acres, more or less, EXCEPTING
about 12 acres on the east side of
Fall Swamp sold to Ellis Bellamy and
being the same property conveyed by
Lewis Smith and wife, Nancy M.
Smith, to Robert L. Bellamy by deed
dated March 25, 1957, and recorded
in Book 131 at Page 382 in the Bruns
wick County Registry.
All sales subject to report to, and
confirmation by, the Court. Ten days
allowed for raise of bid before final
report made. Highest bidder shall de
posit 10 per cent of bid price in cash
at the sale.
