Masons To Observe Ladies Night Here Ladies Night will be observed Tuesday at Masonic Hall, when members of Pythogoras Lodge 249 will host its ladies at 7 p. m. in its downstairs quarters. R. L. Thompson is chairman of the committee to invite the widows of deceased members, who will be honored along with mem bers of 50 and 25 years standing. Pins and certificates will be be stowed upon the latter. The next regular meeting of the Lodge will be held on Friday at 7:30 p. m„ when the Entered Apprentice Degree will be con ferred. All members are urged to attend and all visiting Masons are extended an invitation. Mrs. Huntley Is Program Speaker The Women’s Missionary Union of the Southport Baptist Church met on Tuesday night, October 17, with 32 members present. Mrs. Maxine Fulcher presided over the gathering for the first time since her election as presi dent, and opened the meeting with scripture reading before announc ing that the Week of Prayer for foreign missions would be observ ed from November 27 through December 1. Mrs. A. C. Huntley, program chairman, delivered a talk on “Southern Baptist Missionary Work in Indonesia”. The speaker affected the dress of the Indone sian female to add authenticity to her speech.
