Gainey, Jr., prosecuting: Henry B. Usher was fined $10 and costs for driving on wrong j side of road, not in passing, and i ; fine remitted. C. R. Jones received prayer for j judgment continued upon restitu tion for worthless check. Thomas Galloway drew 90 days on the roads for driving drunk, no driver's license and improper; registration, with sentence sus pended on payment of $100 and costs. Raeford and resides there with his wife and children at 115 West Prospect Avenue. He is publisher of the News Journal there. Colonel Dickson graduated from Hoke high school in Raeford in 1932 and attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill i and Marion Military institute in I Alabama. His military schooling includes anti-aircraft advanced course, air liaison training and armor school. Colonel Dickson began his mili tary career in July 1936 with the 252d coast artillery of the North Carolina Army National Guard. He was called to active duty in September 1940 with that or ganization. During World War II, he served with the 68th Coast Artillery (Anti-aircraft) and Headquarters, 7th Army. He rejoined the North Carolina Army National Guard with the 130th anti-aircraft artillery bat talion and served with that or ganization from March 1947 until September 1954. At that time he was reassigned to the 130th Tank Battalion remaining with that unit until March 1969. Due to the reorganization of the National Guard, he was trans ferred to the 2d Medium Tank Battalion, 198th Armor in Rae ford. His new assignment will be as Battalion Commander of the 3d Automatic Weapons Battalion, 252d Artillery with Headquarters in Whiteville. costs for speeding and no regis tration. Henry Lee McCrimmon drew straight 6 months on the roads on larceny charge. J. Lofton Holmes pleaded guilty to drunk driving and was fined $127.15, plus costs of the action. Martin Mintz drew 90 days for public drunkenness and resisting arrest, with sentence suspended on condition defendant remain sober and of good behavior for 2 years and pay $25 and costs.
