Country Cousins Coming
The Country Cousins will present a program
Friday night at Southport High School auditorium
under the auspices of the eighth grade. The pro
ceeds will be used to finance a trip to Raleigh.
With this well-known group of entertainers are
Grady Stevens, Slim Simmons, Tex Lancaster, Leslie
Inman and Fred Hickman. The insert is of Hay
seed Thomas. The program will begin at 8 o’clock.

Lofton Baxter Clemmons, 39,
of Southport, died unexpectedly

Beach Resident
Passes Suddenly
Milton Rufus Wiggs, aged 61, j
and a resident of Long Beach, |
died at Dosher Memorial Hospit
al early this morning as a result
of a heart attack suffered about
midnight at his home in Tran- I

quil Harbour.
He had lived in this area for
the past six months after mov
ing here from Fayetteville. He
was a retired salesman.
He is survived by four sons,
M. R. Wiggs of San . Antonio,
Tex.; Joel Wiggs of Tift,in. Ca.;
Jere Wiggs, Dover, Del.; and
Richmond Wiggs, Chapel Hill;
one daughter, Mrs. High Vachary
