It is a condition of the nervous sys tem characterized by physical or mental in efficiency. Neurasthenia frequently follows overwork, worry and prolonged mental strain. From the begin ning there are headaches, insomnia, inability to concentrate and irritability or depression. Many patients have a feeling of cranial constriction similar to that caused by wearing of a skullcap or Hat band; others complain of pressure upon ■; the top of fhe hedd. Rest does not overcome physical fatigue as in most || diseases; hence patients awaken in the morning exhausted. Modern Chiropractors are trained to correct nerve conditions., and in so doing II health is restored to normal. |§ HUCI Chiropractic Clinic DR. ROGER W. KINCAID Your Telephone Manager MAY marks the Centennial anniversary of the establish ment of the United States Department of Agriculture. On May 15, 1862, President Lincoln signed it into being. Since then, agriculture has compiled one of the nation’s most impressive production records. In 1862, one farmer produced food and fiber for five people. Today, he pro duces enough for 26! Result: now, more than 90 per cent of our people have no worries about enough food. Also, the tremendous strength of our nation today depends heavily on the unequalled productivity of the American farmer. And, of course, as both producer and consumer, his contribution has been important in helping America achieve its high standard of living. I, for one, am happy to join in this Centennial salute to our farmers . . . and say “thanks” for the part they have done in the develop ment of our nation. * * * # WEARY from shopping? (Sonny) Gainey, ir. For Representative As the Democratic Primary election draws near, I wish to again place before the people of Brunswick County my position as a candidate for the North Carolina House of Representatives. I was born and reared at Leland, where I now live with my wife and three children. I graduated from Leland High School, and thereafter attended Campbell College, Wilmington Junior College, Wake Forest College, and Wake Forest College School of Law from which I graduat ed in 1959; I also served in the United States Army during the Korean War. For the past three years I have been prac ticing law in Southport. I am presently serving as Solicitor of the Recorder’s Court and have served in this capacity fbr nearly two years. my piarrorm is, csna win oe, aicTarea ay me tnougnts and best interests of the majority of our people. Thoughts and convictions which are personal to me shall always be subject to the wishes of the majority, and if nominated and elected my actions in the Legislature shall reflect the wish es and desires of the majority. This is only manner in which a true democratic form of government can function. It is my desire to see what can be accomplished by a legislator whose only interest is to make his County a bet ter place in which its people can live, work, and rear their families. That is my sole reason and purpose in becoming a candidate, and if nominated and elected I am dedicated to that task. It is my belief that a vast majority of our citizens ex ercise their right to vote in as conscientious a manner as possible. This is sometimes made difficult by rosy promises, false issues, and social and economic pressures which are injected into the campaign. However, notwithstanding these factors, we generally try to vote for and support the candidate we think to be most qualified for the office which he seeks. A candidate is entitled to this consideration and none other. As has been said by someone else, I repose great confidence in the sober thinking of our people. I now rest my candidacy upon it. Your Vote and Active Support In Be half Of My Candidacy Will Be Greatly Appreciated.
