Miss Dorothy Tipton Hancock Bride Of William Hash Gray Miss Dorothy Tipton Hancock, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Duke Hogan Hancock. Jr. of Green ville, S. C., became the bride of William Hugh Gray, son of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Bellamy Gray of Supply on Saturday at 11:36 a. m. at the home of Mrs. John Q. Davis in Spartanburg, S. C.. where the bride has made her home for the past three years. Rev. Daltrum L. Poston heard the marriage vows, using the dou ble ring ceremony, and organ music was presented by Mr. Sam uel Woodruff. The bride was given in marri age by her father, Mr. Duke Hogan Hancock, Jr., and the groom was attended by his fath er, Mr. Hugh Bellamy Gray, as best man. The bride wore her mother’s Wedding dress of taffeta and lace, which was an exact reproduction of her grandmother’s dress. The lovely dress had been hand re produced by her grandmother us ing the original lace and drop skirt. Her veil of illusion was held by a lace crown of seeded pearls and sequins, and she car ried a white orchid with steph anotis and fern on her Bible. The matron-of-honor, Mrs. John L. Smoak, wore a dress of aqua . silk organza over taffeta, and car ried a cascade of pale yellow mums. Following a reception at the home the couple left on their wedding trip. The bride wore a white silk suit with matching ac cessories. On their return the couple will be at home at 734 Hillview St., Converse Heights, Spartanburg, S. C. The bride attended Seneca, S. C. High School and received her B. S. degree in Home Economics from Winthrop. She is now em ployed as Home Service Advisor [ for' the Duke Power Co. in the : Spartanburg, S. C.
