We missed you last week, due to a little accident before coming to work at the new Farm Bureau Office in Shallotte, but everything is well - we hope - now. And note: The Farm Bureau will service all members with hours 9 a. m. to 1 p. m. so come by and see us sometime, won’t you? The excitement of Miss Faye Smith’s wedding to Dwight Jack son Saturday really shook up the young lady. She couldn’t remem ber anything just before the wed ding. While in tlie Shallotte Jewel Shop, Mrs. Cleo Benson, the Shallotte florist, was trying to get the details on her wedding and the color of dresses. Well, Faye’s mind went blank. After all the planning and excitement of a lifetime dream, we under stand, Faye. And the best of everything is extended to the newlyweds. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest David Rivenbark of Bolivia have a 7 lbs. 8 oz. son, Jesse David, born January 11 at Cape Fear Memorial Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Norwood Allen Davis of Leland also have a new son, Rov Allen, born January 11 at James Walker Memorial Hospital and weighing 6 lbs. and 7 ozs. Congratulations! The R. B. Hewett, Jr., family have recently moved in their beautiful new home near Shal lotte. It looks like the Burness Hewett family will also move in their lovely home before long. Just to show you, Brunswick is still on the go. Aren’t you proud of your county? Where -1 could you find a better place to build, begin a business, or come visit, than Brunswick? With the recent resignation of Burnett Coleman, Brunswick County is now without an Assistant Agriculture Agent, and has been without a home agent since last June. This leaves a tremendous burden on Mr. Mar tin, the agriculture agent. No one agent can possibly ac complish all there is to be done in this vast area. Think about it. We need a Home Agent. We also need an assistant for the agricultural agent and the home agent to work with the Home Demonstration Clubs and 4-H Clubs, don’t you think? So long until next week. Keep listening. That phone ringing maybe Party Line. Good-bye. Sub-Juniors In Regular Meeting The Sub Juniors of Southport held their second January meet ing at the home of Miss Patti Key with 18 members present. The meeting was called to order by Miss Kathy Joyner, president. After roll call and the secretary’s report, several items of business were dis cussed. Several song and dance groups were set up, and practice dates were agreed upon. Baptist W. M. S.
