HOW TO CHOOSE A REALTOR
So you've decided to make the big move and sell your home.
With dozens of experts in the area to choose from, how do you
know which REALTOR will represent your best interests?
Most homes are sold using the services of a real estate agent
because he or she understands the aspects of the real estate
business and will act as your negotiator. The most important
services a real estate agent can provide you with is a market
analysis and marketing power. The market analysis provides
you with information on what properties are selling for and how
quickly they’re selling in your area. Marketing power is expos
ing your property to the greatest number of buyers possible.
You want to look for a reputable agent who has sold many
homes in your area and who knows the neighborhood well. The
name and size of the firm should be considered also. A firm
makes more money on listings its agents sell because it doesn't
have to share the commission with another firm. So you may
want to go with a larger firm which can utilize its cross-country
referral services to pinpoint potential buyers from even thou
sands of miles away.
When seeking a REALTOR, also consider speaking to fellow
property owners. Eventually, certain names of agents or firms
will keep popping up andyou will be able to assess a firm's track
record based on satisfied clients.
