Holiday party for community
A community holiday party will be held from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday,
December 5, at the Brunswick County Government Center.
Entertainment will be provided by participants in the creative dramatics
class and a guest from the North Pole. Those attending the party are asked
to bring an ornament for the community tree.
The program is free and open to the public.

Christmas trip to Biltmore
Christmas at the Biltmore" in Asheville is the destination of a bus tour
sponsored by the Southport Parks and Recreation Department.
The overnight trip is scheduled December 11-12 and costs $125 a person.
The fee includes transportation, accommodations and tickets to the Bilt
more Estate.
Persons can register by calling Southport City Hall.

A championship game was played
by the Oak Island Duplicate Bridge
Club on November 16.
The new championship team is Jan
Blessis and Jackie Kennedy. The
runners-up were Bob Moeller and
Bill Ozanne, and there was a tie for
third between the teams of Ann
Murphy/Georgianna Harmon and
Nell Steams/Betty Johnson.
Regular games are played at the
Long Beach Recreation Center on
Mondays at 1 p.m. and bridge
players are welcome to participate.
