Denton-LaBelle vows spoken Ronda Sue LaBelle and Joe Allen Denton, both of Long Beach, were united in marriage on November 7 in the Southport Baptist Church chapel. The Rev. Jeff Johnson of ficiated at the double-ring ceremony. Music was provided by Eddie and Pam Hicks of Long Beach and Tommy Robbins of Winnabow. The bride was given in marriage by her father. She was attired in a white satin gown with a drop-waist lace bodice accented with a lace col lar and a deep-V back. The gown also has long lace sleeves and a floor-length full skirt with a cascad ing panel down the back. June Matthews of Wilmington served as the bride’s matron of honor and Myra Denton of Whittier, sister of the groom, was the brides maid. Ashley Larymore of Hartsville, S. C., was the flower girl. The attendants were attired in w-hite tea-length dresses with a fuchsia flo ral print on a dark blue polka dot background. Johnathon Mcdrick LaBelle, the bride and groom’s son, was the ring bearer, and also served as best man with Richard A. LaBelle, Jr., of Wil mington. Rodney J. LaBelle of Wil mington ushered. Mary Norwood was the wedding director. The newlyweds received their guests at Franklin Square Park. The reception was hosted by Tamara Shaver of Statesville; Billie Powell of Holden Beach; Nancy Holley, Barbara Faulk, Brenda Crisco, Monda Failor and Heather Crisco of Southport; Wendy Simon of Bolivia; Kim Dorman of Long Beach; Rhonda Anders of Elkton, Md., the bride’s cousin; and Mary Anders of Darlington, Md., the bride’s aunt. The cake and decora tions were made by the bride’s mother, who was assisted by Linda Nelson, the bride’s aunt. The bride is the daughter of Richard A. and Charlotte N. LaBelle of Hartsville. She holds a bachelor of science degree in education science from Western Carolina Uni versity and is a teacher at South Brunswick High School. The groom is the son of Ben and Rachel Denton of Whittier. He is a graduate of Southwestern Com munity College and served in the U. Sv Army. He is employed by Caro lina Power and Light Co. The newlyweds reside in Long Beach.
