Sheriffs report Man says cash stolen, A woman was shot in the thigh and two men escaped injury after a Bolivia man allegedly wait on a shooting spree inside a mobile home Saturday afternoon, Brunswick County Sheriffs Department detec tive Nancy Simpson reported Mon day. Victor Randolph, 20, was charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury. He was released on bond later that day. Simpson said Randolph went to the trailer, located on Randolphville Road near Bolivia, to purchase some used household goods. Randolph told Simpson he put his wallet on a table and later discovered that all of his money was gone. He then allegedly picked up a .22 caliber rifle and began shooting. Simpson said she wasn’t sure how many shots were fired, but added, "There were shells and empty shells all over the place.” Randolph allegedly shot Octavia Bryant, 29, once in the thigh and missed two men, who Simpson said have not been seen since the inci dent Randolph told detectives he had just been laid off and all of the cash from his last paycheck was missing from his wallet "He said he would have shot all of them if he could," Simpson said. In other reports on file at the Brunswick County Sheriffs Depart ment Monday: •A Shallotte woman reported Sunday that she was awakened by a man who was rubbing her legs and breasts, saying, "You are so pretty. I need you and I got to have you." The victim said she started scream ing and may have hit the assailant with a flashlight The suspect then fled the house, according to the report •A Riegelwood man reported Sat urday that he and a friend were riding three-wheelers near Sandy Creek and stopped in front of a mobile home to talk to a woman. The woman told the men to come up to the trailer, and when they started walking in that direction someone reportedly began shooting at them. The woman then started to scream and told them to run, according to detective Cathy Hamilton’s report. •Supply Elementary School reported Friday that sometime dur ing the night someone knocked down the gate to the school parking lot. Sgt. C. R. Wilson stated in his report that someone may have used a car to ram the gate. •A Shallotte man reported Satur day that someone broke the front window of his house, entered the master bedroom and removed a shotgun. Other items reported miss ing include $50 in change, a cam corder and antique crystal jar. The total value of the property was estimated to be $2,630. •A Sunset Beach man reported Saturday that someone broke through his back door and removed his stereo and speakers, worth an estimated $140. •A Leland man reported Friday that someone pried open the front door of his mobile home and removed a turntable, a cassette player, two speakers and one equal izer. •A Southport man reported Friday that someone removed his white chow dog from his yard. A neighbor stated he saw a man take the dog from its chain and leave. •T. A. The next thing the vic tim said he remembers is waking up in the New Hanover Regional Medi cal Center with head injuries. Miller said in his report. •A Lumberton man reported Sun day that someone broke into his residence at Sea Mist Campground near the Bricklanding community and removed about $1,350 worth of personal property, including two tel evisions, a toaster oven, two tele phones, two sets of binoculars, a radio alarm clock and a VCR. •A Shallotte man reported Sunday that he was watching TV when he heard a pounding noife under his carport. The victim said he went outside to investigate and found a man who said he was having a sei zure and to call 911. When rescue workers arrived, however, the vic tim said he found out the man was drunk and was not having a seizure. The victim stated about $1,800 worth of damage was done to the hood of his car. •An employee of Cato’s Store at Live Oak Village Shopping Center near Southport reported Friday that two women entered the store and began to try on clothing. Suddenly both women fled the store, the em ployee said. One woman was seen dropping a black leather coat from beneath her clothes. Both women left in a brown Buick. •The food service at the Carolina Power & Light Co. Southport plant reported Saturday that an unknown number of suspects took $240 out of the cash drawer. •A Southport woman reported Sunday that someone removed a plywood Santa and a plywood snowman from her front yard. •A Southport woman reported Sunday that she stopped at the video store at River Run Shopping Center near Southport and paid for several movies. The victim said after she returned home her son and a friend took her car to Advance Auto Parts in Shallotte. When they returned, the victim stated her purse was no longer in the car. A total Of about $2,365 in cash and checks was reportedly in the billfold. •A supervisor at The Brunswick Hospital at Supply reported Sunday that someone pried one of the pay phones from the wall, cut the wires and fled. •A Leland man reported Saturday that someone removed an estimated $1,329 worth of property from his back porch, including a generator, a set of bolt cutters and a steel chain.
