Brunswick County Literacy Coun
cil will hold its next tutor training
workshop in the meeting room of
the new Brunswick Electric
Membership Corporation building
on Highway 17 at Supply.
Schedule for the ten-hour work
shop will be 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Wednesday, March 12, and 9 a.m.
to 2 p.m. Thursday, March 13.
There is no charge for the work- •
shop, though pre-registration is I

Band boosters
to host dinner,
band concert
North Brunswick High School
Band Boosters will sponsor a
spaghetti dinner and concert at
Leland Middle School on Thursday,
March 27, 6 p.m.
A performance by the North
Brunswick High School Symphonic
Band will begin at 7 p.m. and a
silent auction will be held during the
dinner.
Tickets are $5 in advance or $6 at
the door and may be purchased from
any band member or by calling the

Church to serve
chicken dinners
Fried chicken dinners will be
served at the First Apostolic Church
fellowship hall on West Street this
Saturday, March 8, from 11 a.m.
until 2 p.m.
The menu will include fried chick
en, potato salad, green beans, roll,
cake square, tea or coffee for $4 per
plate (all-white meat $4.50 per
plate).
Eat-in or take-out orders are
available. For five or more plates
delivered to the same address in the
immediate Southport area, persons

Friday dinners
Veterans of Foreign Wars Post
10400, Boiling Spring Lakes, serves
dinner on Friday evenings for mem
