Yaupon Beach commissioners have once again focused on the Oak Island Golf and Country Club as the singular solution to the town's waste water disposal problem. Meeting Monday night, commis sioners shifted their attention away from plans to spray treated wastewa ter on tracts of seven and 11 acres the town either owns or has access to in the Southeast Brunswick Sanitary District near the Yaupon Beach waste water treatment plant. Instead, board members directed engineers from The Wooten Company to prepare a feasi bility study for spraying effluent from the town's wastewater treatment plant Consultants will also determine the feasibility of spraying treated effluent on the 13 holes which lie in Caswell Beach on the five Oak Island golf course holes which lie in Yaupon Beach.
