Summer swimming
instruction planned
Summer swimming programs will
be held at the North Carolina
Baptist Assembly at Fort Caswell for
county residents as well as visitors
to the area.

Seabreeze
camp held
at Caswell
Camp Seabreeze, a day camp for
children kindergarten through fifth
grade, will be held during June and
July at the North Carolina Baptist
Assembly. .
Campers leam social skills and
participate in a variety of activities
such as arts and crafts, storytime,
beach games, swimming lessons
and sports.
The fee is $70 per week or $17 per
day. Camps will be held from 7:30
a.m. to 5 p.m. during the following
weeks: June 8-12, June 15-19, June
22-26, June 29-July 3, July 6-10, July
13-17, July 20-24 and July 27-31.

County Parks and Recreation
Department, the 45-minute classes
are conducted by American Red
Cross instructors for children and
adults. The weekly fee is $30.
Classes will be held on the follow
ing time schedule: 10 to 10:45 a.m.,
community water safety and
advanced swimming; 11 to 11:45
a.m., beginning swimming, non
swimmers, "water babies" and tod
dlers.
Classes are scheduled during the
following weeks: June 15-19, June
22-26, June 29-July 3, July 6-10, July
13-17, July 20-24, July 27-31; make
up classes, August 3.
Water babies is a special class for
children ages six months to three
years. The class is designed to pro
vide a positive experience for the
child by allowing him or her to
interact with a special adult in the
water.
Adult leam-to-swim and
advanced skill classes will be held
August 3-7, 6 to 7 p.m. The fee is
$30 and the registration deadline is
July 27.
Open swims will be held daily,
Monday through Saturday, 9 to
11:45 a.m., from June 15 through
August 8. The fee is $2 per swim.
