Sermon topics
Southport Baptist
Revival services will begin Sunday with the 11 a.m. service. A service will be
6:30 p.m. Sunday and 7 p.m. Monday through Wednesday. Pre-service music will
be at 6:15 p.m. Sunday and 6:45 p.m. Monday through Wednesday.

revival.
Southport Presbyterian
"Stewardship Gobblcdegook" will be the Rev. Jonathan Kelley's sermon title
Sunday with Scripture from Mark 12:38-44.
According to Kelley, a question we all struggle with is, “How much money can
I spare for the church?" Preachers and churches have a way of beating around the
bush when it comes to answers for such questions, he said, and the result is stew
ardship gobblcdegook.
"But the Scriptural message of what God requires is clear and straightforward.
Can we dare to hear it?"
Mill Creek Baptist
Members will celebrate homecoming on Sunday, and pastor Fred Crisco will
deliver the message.
Sunday school is at 9:45 a m. and morning worship is at 10:30 a.m. A meal and
song service will follow morning worship in celebration of homecoming.
The church is located at 1099 George II Hwy., Winnabow.
Trinity United Methodist
“Faithrace" will be the ‘title of the Rev. Bill Cottingham’s sermon Sunday.
According to Cottingham, Paul wrote to Timothy, “The Lord has given me
strength, the Lord has stood by me,”
Sonrise Independent Baptist
Revival services will be 7 p.m. October 26 through 31. Dr. Ronald Howard, pas
tor of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church of Canton, Ohio, will be the speaker.
The church is located at the comer of Dosher cut-off and 133/87.
Ocean View Methodist
»
“The Pouring Out of God’s Spirit" will be the title of pastor Fred Roberts’ ser
mon Sunday, with Scripture from Joel 2:23-32.
The 6:30 p.m. Saturday service will be a service of prayer for reconciliation and
healing, led by Roberts.
Saint Peter Lutheran
“Free Grace for Sinners” will be the title of pastor. Ken Langsdorf’s sermon
Sunday as the church celebrates Reformation Sunday.
According to Langsdorf, when Martin Luther nailed his 95 theses to the church
door in Wittenburg. Germany, he unleashed a storm of change in church and soci
ety. Luther was in search of the truth, the truth of God’s free gift of grace for sin
ners.
