Miss Belle Mont of Statesville arrived here Tuesday and is the guest of Miss Annie Moring. Misses Jessie Boroughs and Blanche Kearns are spending a few days at Jackson Springs. A. A. The Hepburn railroad rate act went into effect Tuesday with out reducing the value of a single railroad security. The act will not to the end. It does nothing but enact the common law.
