The Courier,
Asheboo, N. C.
Gentlemen:
Your Coleridge correspondent seems
to have been considerably misinform
ed relative to my having backed my
car off the bridge at that place and
wrecking it. The fact of the incident
was that I ran my front wheels off
the end of the approach to the bridge,
to avoid being backed into by a truck
running in front of me, which stopped
and started backing toward me with
out giving me any -.raming, though
neither the car nor the occupants re
ceived so much as a scratch. Will
thank you to make this correction.
Yours very truly,
; S. CLEVELAND ELLIS.
