In his endorsement he calls attention to the usefulness of Mr. Cook in the differ ent positions he has held. An Anson county farmer averaged $90' monthly last year from seven cows. He raised his own feed and during the year only bought one sack f mill feed. Instead of paying cash he exchanged cotton seed for the meal. Randolph county farmers can exchange grains for cotton seed meal and probably have as profitable re mits as did he Anson county farmer. PROVIDENCE NEWS Several of the people of this com munity are attending the commence ment at Pleasant Garden this week. Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Bowman visited Mrs. Bowman's mother, Mrs. J. C Teague Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Bodenheimer, ef near High Point, and Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Berry, of Greensboro, were visitors of Mr. J. H. Skeen and family Saturday and Sunday. Mr. O. T. Macon and family recent ly visited Mr. Cecil Macon near Holly Spring. Miss Sallie Pierson, of Dudley, vis ited Miss Lolah Cox the first of last week. Providence and Oak Hill crossed Sats last Saturday . afternoon. The score was 14 to 10 in favor of Providence. Miss Rachel Teague spent last week in Greensboro, the guest of her gister, Mrs. J. M. Bowman. when they will be at home. Among our Sunday visitors we noticed Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Tippett, Mr. and Mrs. C. H. EUieon, Mr. David HoUady, Mr. J. H, Mariey and family, and Mr. B. A. Mr. and Mrs. Haywood Parker went to Greensboro Monday. John, Joe, Ell and Fred Presnell, of Asheboro, were visitors here Sun day evening. The commencement sermon bv Dr. Moss, of Chapel Hill, will be at the . Y. church, 7:30 Sunday evening. Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Buie and family spent Sunday evening at Asheboro with relatives. The Piedmont Evening Star Festi val closed ita entertainment her last Thursday evening, and all were - in teresting and appreciated, and they the numbers were enjoyed by those present.
