A discussion of the topic fol- j lowed the reading of the papers. The hostess then invited her guests to the dining room where a lovely three course luncheon was served. Ann Cox, one of Asheboro's high ly respected colored women, has re turned from a visit to her son, Hal Cox, in Glenco, 111. While away Ann also visited her daughter in Virginia. Mr. and Mrs. Reggie Redding, who left Millboro last March and went to Ions, Washington, and later to Seat tle, have located in lone, Washington. Mr. Redding will be connected with the Pan Handle Lumber company. Mr. N. Verd K earns, of near Bom bay, and Mrs. Nannie Welboum, of near Piney Grove, were married re cently. The bride is a daughter of the late Bamum Bingham, and Is a well known school teacher. Mr. K earns is a prosperous farmer of this county. Mr. John W. Bulla, who for many years has been in the postal depart- ment of the United States Govern ment, has been assigned to work in the Maml, Florids, postoffice.
