I NEWS OF INTEREST TO Colored People Mrs. .Louise Watkins Hardy of this city has been appointed to fill out the unexpired term left vacant by the resignation of Miss Lola Chambers in Randolph Co unty Training School which is effective the first of January. Miss Chambers has been a mem ber of the faculty for about 4 years, teaching the second grade at the time of her resignation. She was considered one of the best, most loyal, and helpful teachers in the group. The principal, as sociate teachers, students, and patrons in the community are loathe to give her up. However in the election of Mrs. Hardy who training at Bennett College and several years exper ience teaching the school is very fortunate. At the present she is teaching in the county at Caraway. Mrs. Hardy will take up her duties at the local school at the regular opening after the Christmas holi days, January the third. Rev. R. B. Rhyne, pastor St. Luke M. E. Church of this city was the speaker for the assembly Fri day morning at the school. His talk was centered around the Christ mas lesson. The primary depart ment renderd a very beautiful program in the auditorium in the afternoon.
