Thanking my many, friends for their confidence and support in. the past, I take this means of announcing that I will be a candidate for renomination at the demo cratic primaries and county convention for the office of Register of Deeds. If elected I shall strive to serve the people faithfully. Very truly your servant, B. A. GILLESPIE. Clerk Superior Court. Inasmuch as the present incumbent, Mr. Loftis, DOES NOT ASK for the nomina tion to succeed himself as Clerk of the Superior Court, and in view of the fact that a term in the clerk’s office would be of immense benefit to me in pursuing the study of law, which I have already com menced, I announce myself a candidate for the office of Clerk of the Superior Court, subject, however, to the action of the Democratic convention, which will be held on July 2, 1910. The duties and re sponsibilities imposed by law upon Clerks of the Superior Court are of the utmost importance, the intelligent performance of which makes it not only advisable, but not absolutely necessary, for the Clerk to pos sess a knowledge of the law governing such things as are to come before him. If the Democratic party sees fit to give me the nomination for this important office I have no hesitancy in saying that I will vanquish my republican opponent in the November election, and promise my friends, irrespective of party, to make a clerk of whom none shall have reason to complain. Very truly, M. W. Galloway. Ofr/ng- to the fact that so many of my democratic friends from every precinct in' the county have been to see me and insist on me declaring myself a candidate for Clerk of Superior Court, I have decided if fflfpeople want me, I want to serve them, and do hereby announce myself a candi date for the office of Clerk of Superior Court, subject to the action of the demo- cratie primaries and county convention. We wanta man to represent the mass of the people, and no one has ever been a truer exponent of the ’’one gallus, wool hat” man than George Wilson. And besides he is one of the best coa^missioners the county ever had and many of us want him on the board again. The following letter should have been published last week, but was mislaid and failed to get in priht.
