Y, Porter of Coopert , yesterday ,Thb Citbem gathered the following fact concerning tad accident which occurred near that place Sunday afternoon. It seems that Mr. A. G. McGutneM, a carpenter and painter, who tired near Cooperi, called on Mr. Porter Sunday morning and asked to get aorae Rood, from hit store, saying that his family , required them at once. Mr, Porter opened tbe store, sup plied McGuiness' wants, and had occa sion to notice that be seemed to hare been drinking, but was not much affected at that time. Leering Coopers McGuiness stopped t Mr. Hemphill's house and obtained a jug of hard cider. He was next seen by tbe engineer of the 4 o'clock passenger train while running at full speed, within twenty feet of wberejhe was lying, his bead between 'the outer ends of two cross ties, and touching the rail. It was impossible to stop the train in time to fare him, but it was done as soon as possible and tbe unfortunate man was taken back to Coojiers about a mile distant. His skull was badly fractured and be lived only two hours. McGuiness leaves a widow and seven small children in most reduced circiim stances." From all that can be learned no living person is to blame for this most nnfortnnate affuU. i Bound for Malolirb.
