A gentleman well known in the city stutcd that on the night previous lie saw the woman and recognized her. He was passing beneath nn electric light, he said, when a person approached linn. The hrsl thing to attract his eye was that the other iedrstriau, while at tired in a man's clothing, wore it lady's shoe. His suspicious were aroused and as the two passed he looked his oppo-sile-sijuaiciu the face. It seemed strungly familiar, mid alter he had passed lit recognized the face of the other as that of the lackson woman. Turning around he saw that she was glancing at him lurtivcly over her shoulder, and the lace then confirmed his suspicion enough that he gave chase.
