townships of Buncombe county :
Pursuant to a call heretofore made lo
the democratic voters of the various
townships of Buncombe county to hold
primary elections on the 27th day of
this month for the purpose of giving the
democratic voters of the county nn op
portimity to express their choice of can
didates for the house of representatives
and sey.-rnl county offices, it is though!
uecessnrv to give some siccilic inslruc
lions, ns tn the manner of holding such
primary elections, as follows:
First. The demncrnts of the several
townships are earnestly rcnuestcd to
meet nt the usual voting place of the
township not later than 10 o'clock
on the morning of Saturday, the 27th of
this month. The democratic executive
committee will select two good demo
crats to net as judges ol', and
to conduct, the election. In the
absence of the executive committee or
a failure to act on their part so, soon on
the morning of the said election as six
democrats shall arrive thcv shall proceed
at once to elect the two judges herein
provided lor, whose duty it shall be to
provide a box or other means lor voting.
After the box or other menus shall have
lawn provided, each mid every democrat
rot her voter pledging himself to sup
port the nominees of the ilciunernlic

lor a candidate for each of the county

dates fur the legislature. The voles mai
