A Point of Interest the ITnlted Hlalea Over, to All Church Peo ple and F.apeclallv to Church 8e cedent. Lebanon, Ind., July 25. An impor tant suit which involve! the right! of a large number of churches in the United State has just been decided in the Bos ton circuit court bv ludge Hill. The Mount Tabor Baptist church, lix miles south ol Lebanon, which was or- f;anized in 1835, was known as a regu ar Baptist church and conformed to the views of that organization. Two or three years ago part of the congregation departed from the original articles of faith adopted, and decided to become more liberal in their mode and teachings. This move was bitterly opposed by other persons in the chur'tn who, how ever, were greatly in the minority. The majori'.y expelled the memliers who did not agree with the new order of things. The minority, however, was recognized bv the Danville association to be the reg ular Kaptist church. The other faction refused to submit to the decision of the association, and being in possession of the church property, defied thechurch au thorities. The minority brought suit for eject ment The trial huslieen hotly contested. A large p mount ol money has been spent and exiert witnesses in church govern ment Irom far and near have testified. The court ruled that the minority, hav ing held to the articles of Inith as origin ally adopted, are the rtghtlul owners of the church property, and should Ik put in possession of it.
