here closed flat last night, but at the
opening this morning there was a decline
in prices and the market was excited.
August rye which closed yesterday at
57 marks opened at n decline of 10 marks.

caused chiefly by news of the govern
ment's action in ordering the substitu
tion of wheat meal lor rye in milking of

There is a growing belief that the situa
