Gudger's residence, at which point bad engineering always as sures a pond of formidable width for want of proper drainage facilities, the water spread out as a formidable tem porary obstruction. Dr. yon Ruck, observer at the signal station, says that his rain gauge shows a fall of 1.S3-100 inches from 15 minutes before 12 p. m. to IS minute belore 2 a. m. Read and Reflect. Prominently displayed in our columns today is the announcement "The Czar of Russia intends visiting Asheville during September."
