whether or not Senntor Brice has aright
to his seat, their ground of action being

of the democratic national campaign in

hundred men, some disguised and ull
armed with rifles or revolvers, called on
sheriff Pntsdniner and seized and over
powered him.
They took from him the keys to the
county jail and set a guard over him.
They then made a rush for the jailentered
it and took from the cells two negroes
suspected of the murder of young Pnrra
mnre in the streets of Branfortl last
week. The prisoners were bound to
trees a short distance from the jnil, and
their bodies riddled with bullets.
