as secretary ) to prepare resolutions e x
pressing the sentiments and feelings ot
the large number of citizens and court
officers and lawyers who assembled in
the Federal court house, reported this
morning the following :
"Resolved, That we concur in the pub
lic sorrow produced by the recent death
of Hon. Hugh L. Bond, United States
Circuit Court Judge, as we highly appre
. eiated his private virtues and his very
distinguished judicial qualities and se-r-vices,
and we believe that he faithfully
and honestly administered the laws as
he understood them, and in obedience to
his sense of rectitude and dut v.
"Resolved, That a copy of this resolu
tion be furnished to Hon. K. B. Glenn,
United States attorney, that he may
present the same to the court with a
request that it be placed on the minutes
of the circuit court, and a certified copy
be sent to the family of the deceased."
District Attorney Glenn presented the
resolutions to the court and they were
adopted and made a part of the record.
