Many of th big men of th postal department will attend th convention, including Third Assistant Postmaster General James J. Brltt formerly of this city, and Fourth Assistant Postmaster Gener al P. V. DeOraw, both of whom will make apeeches. Mr. Brltt'a subject will be: 'The Reform of the Postal Laws." Although it has not been an nounced officially as yet, it 1 quite. probable that Postmaster General Frank H. Hitchcock win be one of the visitors at fh convention. The Association of North Carolina Postmasters Includes all postmasters of the state of the- first, second, third and fourth classes. As there are i about 1,100 postofflces in this state the membership of the association Is almost 1,000, and it Is expected that the convention of 1911 will be attend ed by at least 100 postmaster, many of whom will be accompanied by thetr wive and families. The Battery Park hotel, the headquarters of the con vention, will be a scene of gayety, and much business of Importance to the association will be transacted.
