Section 1. That for the purpose of,
providing funds for the payment of the
cost of the above mentioned improve
ments, the negotiable coupon bonds of
the Town of Kenllworth, be issued In a I
sum nojt exceeding the principal amount
or Twenty Thousand JJoliars (I20.ooo.00),
bearing Interest at a rate of not exceed
ing six per centum oer annum, and ma
turing within the maximum period of
twenty years.
Section 2. That the probably unexpired
period of usefulness of the above men
tioned Improvements is twenty years.
Section S. That in each year while any
of said bonds shall be outstanding a tax
shall be levied and collected In accord
ance with law. sufficient to pay the prin
cipal and interest of such bonds as the
same shall fall due. r.
Section 4. That a statement of the
debt of the Town of Kenllworth, has
been filed with the Clerk pursuant to the
Municipal Finance Act 1917, and Is open
to public inspection.
Section 5. That the average assessed
valuation of property subject to taxation
by the Town of Kenllworth for the three
fiscal years n which taxes were last
levied, being the veara of 1915. 1910 and
1917, as shown hv the statement referred
to in the foregoing section, is $215,914.00.
Section 6. That the amount of the net
debt of the municipality outstanding, au
thorized or to he authorised as shown
by said statement. Is $20,000.00.

Highway is directed to the detour of
travel necessitated by the constrSc
tlon of the concrete highway on the
direct route by Buncombe County to
the Henderson County line.
From Hendersonville to Asheville
turn to the right at Fletchers' and
travel up the Cain Creek Road for a
distance of 7. miles to the.Fairvlew
Road; turn to the left and follow the
Falrview Road a distance of 10 miles
to Asheville.
From Ashevllle to Hendersonville
turn to the, left at Blltmore and follow
the Falrview Road to the Cain Creek
Road, a distance of 10 miles; turn to
the right and down the Cain Creek
Road to Fletchers.
Nine mfles of this detour Is water
bound macadam in good condition.
Remainder of same sand, gravel and
top soil. This way Is now open to
automobile1 and other travel.
Directory signs are now being;
placed for the Information, of the pub
lic. Buncombe County has a force on
this road and will maintain it In good
