Saunders, Secretary of State, died at Raleigh on the morning of April 2nd at the age of 59 years He had for fifteen or twenty year been an invalid and nearly allthe while .uuoioi. Had his health permitted ho would have written a history of the State that would have been of great value The Legislature thanked him by a risin- -vote, for his publication of tha colonial ior burial.
