The other morning Dr. Harold noticed that the coffee ,!M not taste as usual, and the next dav noticed that same bad t iste a-'ain. The "ill, who is nineteen years 01' age, was arrested and locked iin at the Eighth precinct. The charge against her, however, is suspicion of larceny. It being uuconstitu ti..ual for a person to hold two oifice in the State of North Can olina, and the councilmeu being so advised by the city attorney, it was decided that Mr. Spruill, chief of police, could no longer net as police and collector.
