GOSHEN SCHOOL
Our school building has three good
sized class rooms and two cloak rooms
The room is all occupeid by the gram
mar grades.
The primary room is furnished with
patent desks. The otiher rooms have
very poorly constructed home made
desks. Some too high, some too low,
and very uncomfortable.
The school has no chairs or tables
for the teachers. One of our great
need' is a good library. We have a
traveling library which has been j
loaned us b ythe state. The children j
are getting much pleasure and infer-]
raation reading books. 1
We nave in our school district 2o
pupils who-have finished the seventh
grade. These boys and girls have no
opportunities to go on to school.
Our children are just as deserving
:is other boys and girls. Let's de
mand our rights to high school in
stnntion provided by the state.

BELVOIR SCHOOL
Rclvoir school is located six miles
west of Clinton in the neighborhood
of McGee's Methodist church. About
thirty years ago it was a high scthool
and people from different sections of
the county attended school there. They
also taught musiei Some of the lead
ing doctors, lawyers and farmers
were reared from this school and in
this vicinity. That building was sold
and then they consolidated with the
Carverdale district, but built a new
building in a different place. They
ihad only two terms of school at the
new location so withdraw as the peo
ple .were not satisfied. The building
consists of two rooms and in painted
both on the out and inside.
The furniture consists of shades
for all the windows, double desks and
a few of them are patent. Some are
homemade. We do not have enough
desks to seat the children comfort
ably. Have two teacher’s tables, two
chairs, two stoves, one not very good.
Nine standard pictures, library of
about 75 books, a primary chart and
a globe. There is nearly enough black
board space.
