CANNERIES MAY BE
BUILT EASY-WILSON
W. A. Wilson, director of relief for
Transylvania county, states that there
was a wrong impression created by
an article published in last- week's
Times, he trying to get the idea
across that inexpensive canneries
could be get up in communities at
small cost where proper co-operation
was had.
The- cannery reierreri to tn the ai
article prepared by Mr. Wilson lasl
week was property of J A. Glazener
and F. H. Holden, who secured the
parts for the cannery in piece-meal,
buying only such new parts as could
not be bought second-hand in the
county.
The condensed statement in regard
to the canning and raising of the
produce was held to a minimum, Mr.
Wilson states, this being official
summary sent to the state depart
ment, and did not cover the work
done by individuals and groups in
the county.
