Miss Pearl Brewer of Anderson, S. C-. visited Miss Frances Bishop the past week. Rex Watson has returned from Monroe, Ga., where he has been em ployed. T. P. Watson and sons of Ander son, S. C., who have been visiting at the home of Malgar Aliison, have returned home. Wylis Taylor has returned from a business visit to New York. Mr. and Mrs. Perry Tayior of Florence, S. C., Mrs. P. K. J°ne8> L. E. Hamby and family visited Lake Lure the past week. Walter Heath and wife of Green ville visited relatives and friends the past week. Mr and Mrs. I. L. Hamby of Greenville visited their son, L. E Hamby, over the week-end. Harlin Jones has been on the sick list for several days but is much im proved. , , . . Paul Roberts and wife have been visiting in Asheville over the week end Claud Jones is in Charleston, S. C., for a visit of several days. Hilemon has returned ! home after a most successful meetrng I held at Gap Creek Baptist church. The North Pole is about 13 miles ! nearer the earth’s center than the I equator. The Transylvania Baptist Asso ciation was held at the local Baptist church last Wednesday and Thurs day. Interesting programs were pre sented at each meeting and a large attendance was reported with a boun tiful dinner served each day. Miss Nelle Mackey and Edna Freeman of Swannanoa spent Sun day with the former’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. E Mackey. - Mr. and Mis.
