While the men folks hustled wood and water the ladies fried chickens, made cofue and loaded the table with ju>t everything good to eat attesting r0 all as to tne quality of cooks to be found in good old Transylvania county. Those enjoying the happy occasion were Mr. ar.d Mrs. E. A. Glazenei and daughters Faye and Louise, Mr. and Mrs. Jordan Whitmire and daughter La Verne and guest. White Jr., Dock Lusk ad Roy fisher. After consuming a goouiy portion of th. picnic dinner the party drove to Bii.i Rock, one of the most pictur , sqm -pots m the Carolines. Later u vi it was made to Camp No. r-H,, wlmre the b y were most gracious in their hospitality, showing the party the camp grounds and ex plaining the workings of camp life. Hilemon, gave Mrs. Ben nett the time Of the evening service to tell of her mission work i:i India. In an interesting way she spoke of how she had established a mission at Kanakanpalyam, South India, nam ing it the Margaret and Martha Bennett mission, a memorial to her two deceased young daughters.
