MRS. JANE SEARCEY BURIED WEDNESDAY PICKENS, Sept. 12—Mrs. Jam Searcey, aged 74, a resident o1 Pickens, but formerly of the Cathey s Creek section of Transylvania county, died at her home here last week r.fter an illness of several months. Funeral services were held el Cathey's Creek Baptist church in Transylvania county on' Wednesday of last week with the Rev. H. A. Newton and the Rev. Harvey Souther officiating. Interment was made in the cemetery nearby. Mrs. Searcey is survived by the following children: Mrs. Arminda McKinney. Pickens; Mrs. Ida Ward, S'alley Falls; Willie Searcey. Fisgah Forest; Filmore Searcey. Brevard; George Searcey, Rosman, and 21 grandchildren. The husband has been dead several years. Funeral arrangements were in charge ot' Clnyton-Oillard Funeral Home. FANNIE HECK CIRCLE MET TUESDAY AFTERNOON Regular meeting of the Fannie Heck circle of the Baptist church was held Tuesday afternoon in the church parlors. In the absence of the president, Mrs. M. H. Holliday, the meeting was in charge of the vice president, Mr3. Thomas Dodsworth. The chap ter in the mission study bood was discussed by Mrs. F<. K. Pendleton. LIVINGSTON CIRCLE IN' REGULAR MEETING The Livingston circle held its regular meeting Tuesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. H. E. Erwin. Routine business was transacted and other matters pertaining to the cir cle were discussed. SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS HAS WEINER ROAST Members of the Daughters of Wes ley cluss of the Methodist Sunday school held their regular business and social meeting Tuesday night at the home of Mrs. G. H. Lyday. Following the business session, presided over by the president, Mrs. E. S. English, an enjoyable social hour was spent.
