Of interest to a large number ot
residents here is the marriage of
Miss Lilia Lucille Black to Mr. Sig
mon Henry Mingus, since they were
both teachers in the Rosman school
several years ago.

was the wedding of Miss Lilia Lucille
Black to Mr. Henry Mingus, of Con
nelly Springs. The happy event took
place on Tuesday morning, Septem
ber u, at 10 o’clock at “Rokhome.

relatives of the bride.
The pretty bride, who was attired
in a traveling suit of blue cloth,
with hat and accessories to match,
was unattended. As a 'corsage, she
wore a spray of white heather, sent
from Scotland, which is supposed to
carry good fortune to the wearer.
The ceremony was performed by the
Rev. James M. Dallas, who used the
marriage service of the PreAyterian
church. At the closs of rhe ceremony
felicitations were extended to Mr.
and Mrs. Mingus.
! Mrs. Mingus is trie youngest
daughter of George BlBck, a promt-1
ner.t farmer, and one of Donalds’ best j
known citizens. She is a graduate of j
Erskine college, has taught school for •
a number of years. She trained as a ’
nurse at Anderson hospital. and is a I
talented young woman, who has a j
host of friends.
Professor Miugur is a native of
North Carolina, and a young man of
excellent character, who has made a
name for himself as an educator in
the section of North State where he
resides. He has charge of the school1
near Connelly Springs, which will be I
the future home of the newly wedded |

left for their new home.

Rev. Carl Cox of Slater, S- C., has i
just closed a very successful revival
in Jackson county at Rock Bridge.
As a result of that meeting a new
Church of God has been organized
with thirteen members.
