BREVARD HIGH IN SECOND WIN Morris said PickeUimer Lead The Way in Ground Gain ing; Siniard In Scoring __ (By JAMES MISENHEIMER) Morris, Brevard high’s triple threat back, again showed up well in Brevard’s 13-0 win over Pickens on the Rosman athletic field last Friday afternoon. In the first quarter Brevard play ed a punting game with Morris out punting Gillespie of Pickens. Then Piekesimer ran back a Pickens punt 45 yards to the 14 yard line and after three plays Siniard, Brevard’s star line plunger, went over tackle from the nine yard line to score. A pass for the extra point failed. In the second quarter Siniard for Brevard and Gillespie for Pickens made consistent gains but neither team got in scoring distance. As the third quarter opened Bre vard took the kickoff and carried the ball to Pickens’ 9-yard line, but the visitors held for downs, and then punted to Siniard who fumbled and Pickens recovered, although they were unable to score through Bre vard’s tight defense. The rest of the quarter was another punting duel. In the fourth quarter Coach Tilson sent in practically a new line and these subs started a drive from the Pickens 40-yard line that ended in a touchdown, Siniard going over for the last one yard after Morris had plunged the Dali up in scoring dis tance, he making the extra point through the line through a gap that was opened up by Gray, who in addition to his blocking game, was a consistent line buster throughout the game.
