Well, my little friends at that

this is the last time you will hear
from your old ualsie walsie ... Caro
lyn Monroe, f really should apolo

saying something about your room.
I didn’t realize that Brevard College
had such a genius, for your Christ

Jocko Brooks be wearing in his but
ton hole but a piece of mistletoe . . .
Is that conceit or is that conceit . . .
Anyway, girls, there’s your chance
. . . Jane Hamlin cooked lunch last
Tuesday for Katherine English and
herself ... I wonder why they were
absent the sixth period that day . . •
From what I hear Bennie Shuford |
is getting absent minded . . . He was |
in the Canteen Monday all dressed j
up with his hat on even . . . there was
only one thing missing—his shoes—
but he did have on his bedroom
shoes . . . Mary Vance Proffitt rated
Monday, she got a set-up to the
shew . . ■ Gibs will make some wife;
a good cook...he has had enough |
practice lately...I wonder what has,
happened ta John, Dillmgcr he |
hasn't been in Bible class for a long,
time...Did you hear about the mur
der in Taylor hall last week ..well,
that cruel Woodrow Patton dropped
a rat in boiling water.. and the poor ,
little rat died of incomplete respir-|
ation.. .in other wards just, passed
out.. .Edith Beard will gctlo see her
Phii Fridav night or will we all be
glad...Mr. Williams found things
with his flashlight Saturday night;
for instance a group of boys having
a big feast after the lights were out
Helen Kelly nearly hud a fit
when some one handed her a worm
Tuesday. .Bill Davis told me he had |
written Santa a nice letter... Lucile
Honeycutt, you shouldnt stay away

Writes a Few Open Letters to LocbI Citizens
To E. J. Contrane, President,
Brevard College:
Please allow me to congratulate
you upon your excellent work at
Brevard College this year. Especially
do I wish to commend you for the
spirit of cooperation that you have
instilled into the hearts and minds
of the students.
I wish you continued success in
your fine work.—J. M.
To Coach Ralph James and Mem
bers of the Brevard College Foot
ball Team:
You have just closed a successful
season and I want to congratulate
you. I doubt if Brevard will ever
produce a finer or stronger aggrega
tion of pigskin artists.
The students and citizens of Bre
vard are proud of you.—J. M.
To Rev. J. H. Brendall, Pastor of
the First Methodist Church:
Recently you extended an invita-l
tion to the Christians in attendance
upon your service to testify by going
forward to shake your hand and
quite a few responded. That is fine
and I wish more of this sort of thing
wa? done in the church. Wouldn’t it
be a good thing, also, if the invita
tion to unsaved persons was issued I
at each service? From what I can
gather you have made a wonderful
start in your new work here and I
am sure that the people appreciate
your efforts. That you are doing
your part to win souls to Christ,
there is tvo datubt.—J. M.
To the Citizens of Brevard and
Transylvania County:
The sale of Christmas seals is
underway for this Christmas season.
I do not know what the goal is but
I hope the mark will be reached as
the purpose of the seal sale is high
and noble. I
Headed by a group of capable'
leaders, I predict the fund will be '
raised with little difficulty.—J. M. i
