BOND ORDINANCE
"An ordinance authorizing the Is
suance of $28,729.48 of Bonds of the
Town of Brevard for the purpose of
Funding 26 per cent of outstanding
claims for Interest unpaid and accrued
to July 1, 1986, on the outstanding
bonded indebtedness of the Town.”
Be It ordained by the Board of Al
dermen of the Town of Brevard, as
follows:
1. Bonds of the town shall be Issued
to the maximum aggregate principal
amount of $28,729.48 for the purpose of
funding 25 per cent of the following
valid outstanding Indebtedness of the
town representing claims for interest
unpaid and accrued to July 1, 1936 on
the following Issues of valid bonds of
the town, namely:
On $26,000, 5 per cent Water, Street
and Sewer bonds dated June 1, 1905,
unpaid coupons $4,375 and accrued In
terest $1,260.
1 On $15,000, 6 per cent Water bonds
dated March 1, 1910, unpaid coupons
$2,650, and accrued interest $300.
On $10,000, 6 per cent Water and
Sewer bonds of which $6,000 are dated
April 1. 1918, and $4,000 are dated
April 1, 1915, unpaid coupons $2,700
and accrued Interest $160.
On $19,000, 6 per cent Street Improve
ment bonds dated July 1, 1913 unpaid,
coupons $4,680.
On $28,000, 5 1-2 per cent Public Im
provement bonds dated September 1.
1922, unpaid coupons $5,610 and accrued
interest $1,063.33.
On $63,000 5 3-4 per cent Public Im
provement bonds dated March 1, 1925.
unpaid coupons $9,746.25. and accrued
Interest $1,339.17.
On $106,000, 5 1-4 per cent Public
Improvement bonds dated July 1, 1925,
unpaid coupons $18,687.50, and accrued
Interest $2,940.00.
On $182,000 6 per cent Public Im
provement bonds dated June 1, 1926,
unpaid coupons $37,920, and accrued in
terest $4,330.
On $14,000, 6 per cent Water bonds
dated October 16. 1926, unpaid coupons
$3,420, and accrued interest $285.00.
On $59,000, 5 1-2 per cent Refunding
bonds dated March 1, 1929, unpaid
coupons $12,540.00. and accrued Inter
est $1,081.67.
2. A statement of the debt of the
town has been filed with the Clerk and
is open to public inspection.
8. This ordinance shall take effect
upom Its passage and shall not be sub
mitted to the voters.
The foregoing ordinance was passed
on the 12th day of August, 1938, and
was first published on the 18th day
of August. 1938.
Any action or proceeding question
ing the validity of said ordinance must
be commenced within thirty days after
its first publication.
