L«t’s llel|» Our Junior Commandos Build A Monument Of Scrap! Scrap metal is vitally needed to produce tools of war and Brevard and Transylvania county Junior Com mandos are working hard to collect and turn in every piece of scrap left in the county. This drive is being sponsored by the Junior Cham ber of Commerce and we commend the organization and the Commandos for this patriotic service. We also urge every farmer and every industry in the county to co-operate. There are about 140 boys and girls who have al ready qualified as Junior Commandos and to date they have turned in around 50,000 pounds. Scrap is collect ed at Brevard and Pisgah Forest schools every Satur day afternoon. Other boys are urged to join the Com mandos. Salvage Chairman Howard Wyatt highly praised the Jaycees and the Commandos and requested other boys, farmers and industries to continue the scrap col lection campaign. Tanks, guns, jeeps, ships and other war equipment cannot be produced without it. Let’s help the Commandos build a Monument of Scrap! Let’s not let any of our boys pay the supreme price because we failed to pass the ammunition. This Ad Is Published To Further The War Effort By The Following Firms And Individuals: The Grill D.
